Samana, Tourist Paradise in the Dominican Republic

The Ministry of Tourism remains committed to making the Province of Samana a true tourist paradise in the Dominican Republic.

To this end, it has launched the reconstruction of 6 roads infrastructures in the municipality of Las Terrenas, with a total length of 2.38 kms, spread over four areas:

• Abra Grande
• The Beach
• City Center
• Pueblo de los Pescadores

The work is being carried out by CEIZTUR (Executive Committee for Tourist Zone Infrastructures) at a total investment of RD$48,283,610.20, and breaks down as follows:

Recovery of the road structure

Installation of an asphalt layer

Construction of 900 M² of pavement

Creation of 1,200 linear metres of concrete kerbs

4,000 meters of ditches to ensure adequate drainage

Rainwater drainage systems

Horizontal and vertical signage

Road cleaning
